The Ensemble 7/8 was born from an idea by Ettore Bongiovanni and the long work of arrangement and transcription of Andrea Ravizza. The idea is to bring the sounds and atmosphere of movie soundtracks to an intimate atmosphere carried out by a chamber group. The result is a great performance suitable by general public and refined ears.

The chamber groups that are formed within the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai are the first parties and professors, soloists often as protagonists of the Season of Rai. Each group will have the objective to know and appreciate the technical and expressive possibilities of each instrument and the various combinations, using the versatility and potential of the individual elements, presenting a repertoire ranging from classic to contemporary. Always welcomed by a full success by audiences and critics, the soloists of the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale RAI integrate their activities with concert recordings, and fruitful collaborations with record companies, joining often exceptional soloists.
