Masterclass at the Turin Conservatory
Aimed at Master’s students in Composition, this masterclass, held from January 13, 2024 to May 25, 2024, explores virtual orchestration techniques, orchestral practice, and the main technological resources available to the contemporary composer. Lecturer: Andrea Ravizza
Course contents:
The course is designed to enable students to become familiar with the main virtual instruments and programming techniques, as well as to identify the most common difficulties and mistakes to avoid during the production process. The principal tools and companies operating in the field will be presented, offering an overview of the solutions currently provided by technology. The course also introduces emerging technologies that promise to significantly impact the current technological landscape in the simulation of acoustic instruments and virtual orchestration.
