Following the success of last Sunday, February 8, at the RAI "Arturo Toscanini" Auditorium in Turin, the second installment of the "Le domeniche dell'Auditorium" series reaches national airwaves on Radio3 Rai. On Sunday, February 15, within the historic live music space, it will be possible to listen again to the highlights of this concert, which featured timbral research and technological innovation.

Bartók and Ravizza: Dialogues between Modernity and Electronics

The radio program features an intense re-reading of Béla Bartók's Piano Sonata BB 88 Op. 80, transfigured through the lens of a chamber ensemble, and the highly anticipated performance of Doppelgänger, a work by Andrea Ravizza for solo euphonium, ensemble, and live electronics. In Doppelgänger, the euphonium's sound doubles and refracts through real-time interaction with electronics, creating a sonic ecosystem where the soloist and their reflected image dialogue in a constantly transforming acoustic space.

The Performers

The performance is entrusted to the MetaPhōnê Chamber Consort, an elite ensemble composed of professors from the RAI National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Andrea Ravizza. The exceptional soloist is Maestro Devid Ceste, whose technical mastery on the euphonium allows for an exploration of the boundaries between acoustic sound and digital manipulation, managed by Biagio Zoli.
